Originally starting in London in 2010 as the solo recording project of Nicholas Wood, The KVB released a number of limited edition cassettes and an EP on legendary Techno label Downwards, before Kat Day joined in late 2011 to form a duo. Their first full-length, Always Then, arrived in early 2012 to coincide with their first live performances. Two more albums, 'Immaterial Visions' and 'Minus One' released in the next year. 'Immaterial Visions' was released on New York based label Cititrax, sub-label cult electronic label Minimal Wave and 'Minus One', on Brian Jonestown Massacre mastermind Anton Newcombe's label A Records. In 2015, the band signed to Geoff Barrow of Portishead's Bristol based label Invada Records for the release of experimental, instrumental album 'Mirror Being'. The duo continued to move in a more experimental, heavily electronic direction on 2016's 'Of Desire', which The KVB recorded with vintage synths from Invada head Geoff Barrow's collection at his studio in Bristol. In support of the album, the band embarked on headline tours in Europe, Asia, Latin America and also a festival date in South Africa. 2017 saw the release of EP 'Fixation / White Walls', which included remixes of the song White Walls from the likes of Mark Reeder, as well as new material.
