THE UPSTARTS Newly reformed ska punk from Elgin. First Glasgow gig in literally 20 years. HOLY WAH. After calling it a day many chequered moons ago, members of The Upstarts went on to play in bands like the Hijacks and The Murderburgers. Now they are back in each other’s loving arms for a friendly jamboree for the ages. Who knows when they’ll be back in town after this? No I, I tells ye. Not to be missed.

FLINCH. Sad indie-rocky-poppy-grungy goodness from your favourite local girl band. Last year’s ‘Misery Olympian’ LP really is choice nugs a-plenty, and the new songs they’ve been playing live recently are choice nugs of the highest order as well. Come witness their sad glory then support them by buying a sticker of Beth’s knee blood before putting it on your own knee, or perhaps on your face as a spooky and fairly late Halloween tear.

WRONG LIFE “Impeccably structured bleak punk”/“doom pop/pop punk/emo”, apparently. Live line-up is made up of members of The Murderburgers, Paper Rifles, Bike Notes and The Hostiles. New album ‘I Can’t Remembers Where I Live’ is out now via Limited Fun and a bunch of other labels.
