SUDS

SUDS are back with their sophomore album Tell me about your day again., a record conceived out of a time marked by distance and grief. A musical journey that ended up providing a cathartic release, which they hope will offer others a similar peace.

SOOT SPRITE

SOOT SPRITE are a 4-piece alt rock and shoegaze band originally hailing from Devon but have since spread out around the south of the England. Echoing the underbelly of the UKs bustling underground emo scene and marrying

that with the bands like Slowdive and Basement, SOOT SPRITE have been striking a match on the live circuit for several years.

Line Up

“SUDS are something special” - Hayley Ritchie, BBC Introducing

In the cold beginning of 2018 three gals, one lad, and various instruments came together to create SUDS. Dan the dog-walker-by-day, guitarist by night made the bold move to Peterborough to join the rest of the clan. Living together boosted work morale and helped define SUDS’ identity. Dan’s energetic nature is amplified on the strings, bringing atmospheric riffs and driving choruses that contrast and compliment Maisie-Mae’s soft voice. Made from hand crafted moody words and gentle vocal lines, they are accompanied by Maisie-Mae’s catchy guitar licks. Isabella, who’s day job is a piano tutor, puts aside the keys and picks up the sticks for this project. Her innovative drumming and infectious aura turns SUDS’ indie skeleton into something boppier and more lively. Pro Popcorn Popper, Tom leaves the grueling work of the cinema behind him and plays the bass. With strong and independently creative bass lines, his animated appealing rhythm is not hard to miss- nor is his newly shaved head!

As their first single, Evergreen began to develop- oozing with echoes of breezy guitar riffs and rigid wordy melodies, it was clear to see that Maisie-Mae, Dan, Tom and Isabella had a unique friendship and journey ahead of them.

Starting out with a debut EP recorded in her loft room in Exeter, Elise is bringing her Bedroom rock to the stage with a full band to orchestrate her ideas and soundscapes. Described by Shoegaze Bloog as 'straddling shoegaze and bedroom pop, a little melancholy and a little Euphoria'. Playing on stages all around the South West and getting airtime on local radio such as BBC Introducing and international such as DKFM, there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes for what started as a bedroom solo project.
