Entry Requirements: 18+

Swimming Tapes are a London-based indie five piece releasing nostalgic, dreamy guitar music, drawing comparisons with the likes of Real Estate, Belle & Sebastian and Day Wave, who the band supported after the release of their self-produced debut track Souvenirs in summer 2016.

The accompanying EP included Set the Fire, which hit the top of the HypeM and Amazing Radio charts and was named the 15th Most Essential Song of 2016 by The Line Of Best Fit (“Complete greatness clothed in a simplistic, understated charm”).

A headline show at The Lexington came alongside the release of their ‘Soft Sea Blue’ EP in September 2017. With an album and further tour dates in the pipeline, 2019 is set to be a breakthrough year for Swimming Tapes.

Line Up

Margot is a newly formed project made up of four London-based musicians from the UK, Italy & France. The sound grows from songs written by Margot Bianchini, a singer and theatre-maker influenced by old skool hip-hop, strong female artists & folk singing traditions.

Including self-taught and trained jazz musicians, Margot provides music you can move to as well as some food for thought. Their live shows aim to create a space of positivity and joy, where their audiences are free to express themselves. In these politically charged times, Margot is trying to be active in their art to inspire and sustain their listeners. They are influenced by the likes of The Roots, Erykah Badu, Bill Lawrence, Little Dragon & Hiatus Kaiyote.

The band is in the midst of working on their debut single WATER WORKS - a 3 track meditation on the emotional openness of British culture. A third of its profits will go to the mental health charity Mind.

Keys - Alastair Elms Bass - Dan Hemsley Drums - Joe-Neil Solan Vocals - Margot Bianchini
