Bob Drake has been playing a lot of instruments with and recording all sorts of bands since the early 1970's. A busy character in Denver’s underground music scene through the 1980’s, and a founding member of both Hail and Thinking Plague, in the early 1990's in Los Angeles, he joined 5UUs for two albums and European tours, and engineered projects for a variety of artists from Ice Cube to Shirley MacLaine. But our story really begins in 1994 when he started making a series of solo albums – of which his latest, L'Isola dei Lupi is the tenth. Originally from the midwest USA, he lives at his studio in Southern France, where he has engineered and mixed hundreds of albums for all sorts of people, including his definitive re-mastering of classic albums by Art Bears, ZNR, Henry Cow and others. He started doing solo shows in 2015, and is currently a member of the Peter Blegvad Quintet.
