Reina del Cid

Aged 17 with 3 years of live performance, including festivals such as Mugstock, Pandorafest, Northhop, Vamos Americana Fest, Paisley Spree and Motherwell BeerFest on the headlining stage at Motherwell Concert Hall. Lisa has also sang to thousands at St Mirren FC and been given opportunity to support Wildwood Kin on their UK tour and Rab Noakes, Gillian Frame, Jill Jackson and Findlay Napier in a Celtic FM Showcase. Lisa released her debut EP Free Spirits in 2017 funded by Paisley 2021. It has received lots of radio play, an appearance on STV, the BBC at the Fringe, a mention in the Times and comments from music people that she is one to watch. In 2017, her songs were selected for the Fatea UK Acoustic showcase compilation album, helped her win the Renfrewshire Live and Unsigned competition and be nominated for Female Artist of the Year by Radio Wigwam. She beat off significant competition to make it to the finals of the new Salute Music UK competition, fronted by Feargal Sharkey, and to the finals of the Radio Clyde Cash for Kids Jim Diamond Award. Lisa was a proactive backer of the Paisley UK City of Culture Bid and was recently invited by the town Provost to attend a “women of influence” dinner. Her song Hearts of Gold is written about the incredible support she gets from her home town, where her musical career began as a busker. Lisa has recently released an exciting music video for the song, filmed in the town. Lisa is currently working on her next EP, with the first single release scheduled for February 2018, when she turns 18. She will headline King Tuts on her 18th birthday for the Salute UK Finalist hometown gig and is counting the days!
