Entry Requirements: 18+

Angus Munro is a multi-faceted vocalist with a four-octave range that can break glass and suitcases full of piano-soaked memories. London-born and Scotland-bred, his 2014 EP “Shooting First” received international acclaim for it’s 60’s nostalgic sound and vocal gymnastics that saw Angus tour North America and Eastern-Europe.

2017 saw the release of “Mirror Man” - a deeply personal account of the loss of his father, subsequent breakdown and triumphant recovery - armed to the teeth with a 6-piece indie band, brass section and heavenly backing singers. Angus has toured with a wide range of artists from Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox, Scouting For Girls to The Hoosiers and Tom Jones; all of whom have been weirded out by him. Cutting a strange figure in the current Scottish music scene, Angus is workshopping his newest funk-influenced songs with vim, vigour and a tenacity that can only be seen to believed.

“The best artist we’ve ever had in session.” - BBC Radio Scotland "A voice like you wouldn't believe...I don't know how big his range is but it's bonkers." - The National “A guy who knows how to chuck out a good pop song - just love this!” - Jim Gellatly "Soulful & outrageous...the highest range I've ever heard." - The Scotsman “Mesmerising” - The Skinny "Tightly energetic & precisely punchy" - The Herald

“Hums to the tune of possible legendary status.” -RH, Maverick Magazine "Canadian singer-songwriter drenched in talent. Leger needs to get himself over here, sooner the better!" - Maurice Hope, Americana UK

At heart, Canadian singer-songwriter Jerry Leger is driven by a quest to convey in his own manner the purity embedded in the grooves of the vintage rock, country and blues recordings he so dearly loves. This trait attracted support from fellow singer/songwriters like Doug Paisley, Jim Lauderdale, Ron Sexsmith (who has called him "one of the best songwriters I've heard in quite some time")and his staunchest ally, producer and label head Michael Timmins of Cowboy Junkies, who signed Jerry to his label, Latent Recordings in 2013. He has been called "one of Canada's best" by Exclaim! and a "gifted storyteller" by The Toronto Star. His latest release, 'Nonsense and Heartache' is a 2-record set showcasing the two major musical sides of him. The idea was sphere headed by Timmins with 'Nonsense' displaying Leger's rock 'n' roll and bluesy grit while 'Heartache' is a more folk-roots-melodic expression. Employing his distinctive live-off-the-floor recording approach on 'Nonsense And Heartache', Timmins focused on capturing the chemistry between Leger and his incredible longtime band: multi-instrumentalist James McKie, bassist Dan Mock and drummer Kyle Sullivan, "The Situation."

KAZE are a “vibrant, future-facing” band based in Manchester. Graham McCusker, from Paisley and Amy Webber from Kent, met while studying opera at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2012. They started writing songs while Graham was undergoing chemotherapy for Leukaemia in 2016 and as soon as he finished treatment, they recorded and released their first EP in 2017. Amy writes the lyrics and is the lead singer while Graham writes the music, plays keys and cracks bad jokes. They decided on the name KAZE, because it means ‘wind’ in Japanese – we’ll let you decide why…

KAZE have been supported by BBC Introducing and have secured airplay on BBC 6Music, BBC Radio Scotland (Live session & Single of the Week), BBC Radio Manchester, BBC Radio Oxford, and Amazing Radio. KAZE have been selected on numerous playlists and as ‘Artist of the week’ for Richer Unsigned. Their one-take music video for their first single 'Pinned On You' was made ‘Video of the Month’ by OurStage for 2 months in succession.
