Hailing from the north of Spain but based in Madrid, Baywaves craft pop songs that melt shiny melodies and marine reverb vibes. Newcomers in the spanish scene, the band is breaking out with his debut EP «Only For Uz», a dose of smooth psychedelia served in four acid tunes, full of spacy synths, vibrant guitars and catchy vocals mixed by King Gizzard’s guitarhero Joe Walker.

Their debut EP soon gained attention in Spain and Europe, being supported by Spotify Fresh Finds, BBC6 Tom Ravenscroft or The Line of Best Fit, and spreading the word with their powerful live show in a long tour that included festivals such as End Of The Road, FIB Benicàssim, Primavera Sound, NOS Alive and headline shows in London, Brighton, Paris or Berlin.

After a promising debut, Baywaves started the new season at Eurosonic and headlining one of The Line Of Best Fit’s Forecast shows in London and are planning to release soon two new singles produced by Jarvis Taveniere (Woods, Real Estate, Mild High Club).

Pop in capitals letters from Madrid. Or as they call it hipnopop, an epithet that perfectly sums up the soft fusion of brilliant melodies and delightful psychedelic developments that Baywaves produce following in the footsteps of Tame Impala, Unknown Mortal Orchestra and DIIV.

Calm and relaxed psychedelia served up by a quartet that has just landed on the music scene and that has caught everybody’s attention thanks to their debut EP «Only For Uz», mixed by King Gizzard's guitar-hero Joe Walker. With this EP, Baywaves got the attention of The Line of Best Fit, Remezcla BBC6 or Amazing Radio among others, and toured around Europe showcasing their songs in festivals like Primavera Sound, FIB, NOS Alive or End of the Road.

2017 can't start better: playing with Hinds and Spring King in Madrid, headlining the Line of Best Fit Five Day Forecast in London and playing for the first time at Eurosonic Noorderslag.

L-space is an electronic dream pop band from Scotland that frequently indulges its noisier tendencies. They write music about the future using ethereal vocals and synths, fuzzy bass and dreamy guitar. They formed in January 2017 and have been releasing music and playing shows as much as possible since.

First Tiger's music is smart, playful and surprising, with some unexpected reference points filtered through a contemporary Scottish feel.

The album, Dedicated, is full of syncopated rhythms, lively basslines, off-kilter hooks, and tunes that'll stay with you.

Shorts and Stevie started playing guitar together as teenagers in Glasgow, but took to playing gigs a while later. In between times they studied, traveled, worked and lived in different countries. When they both ended up back in Glasgow, they started playing as an acoustic duo around the city.

They didn't want their set to be stuck in one gear, limited to one mood, tempo or rhythm, and loved trying to put as much interest into a 3-minute tune as they could.

They recorded their first album with a highly-respected Glasgow producer, Stuart McCredie, who has worked with some great names in Scottish music (Texas, The Blue Nile, The Fratellis). His lean, direct production has brought out the strength and originality of the songs. It shows Stevie’s knack for an earworm, and Shorts' distinctive, warm and honest vocal at its best.

The tracks are all different, inspired by a variety of experiences and influences. For Pete's Sake gives a nod to Jacques Brel's Vesoul in its contemporary take on escape from a stultifying relationship. Walking On Air takes the opening lines of Fats Waller's Crazy 'Bout My Baby as a starting point, and uses them to get at a completely different set of ideas. Other People's Taste plays with ideas of identity and originality - and the vanity of small differences - with a tongue-in-cheek reference to meeting your doppleganger. (Stevie met his evil twin once. If you ever meet yours, you should be nice to them. It's your only hope.)

Identity, personal flaws, doomed and failed relationships - these things are dealt with in a way that's not self-important, and with a bit of a wry smile.

Like a lot of bands, they find it hard to describe their own music. "We've had comparisons to a surprising range of bands and singers - some we’d never heard of, most we wouldn't have thought of, and many we're flattered to be compared to."
