Sarah Caltieri From performing seven-year-old to accomplished singer/ songwriter, via the clubs and pubs as a teenager, Sarah is now a multiple award winning actor and musician, and an active campaigner for type 1 diabetes research. She is currently touring to promote her debut album "Something I Couldn't Say...", recorded at Riverside studios with Duncan and Johnny Cameron (Teenage Fanclub, Travis, BMX Bandits). Sarah has performed at many venues in and around the UK, including: an a cappella performance in the Meadow Bank Stadium, Edinburgh; the main stage at Chapel Allerton Arts Festival, Leeds; live performances on BBC Radio Leeds; ITV’s Calendar News; and Castle FM in Scotland. Sarah also performed her song “Higher Than Before” on GMTV's LK Today as part of her advocacy work for type 1 Diabetes. Sarah's first recorded tracks were broadcast on prime time television on Channel 4 - she sang “Higher Than Before” as the main theme tune for the end credits of her Cutting Edge program, which was ‘Pick of the Week’ in most of the major TV reviews, with over 1 million viewers tuning in to watch. She became the first ever recipient of the One Vision Award for Arts and Entertainment, and has played several lead roles in stage productions at major theatre venues. Previous musical coaches include Ray Davies, Chris Difford, Boo Hewerdine, Julian Marshall, Charlie Dore and Reg Meuros, and she has just co-produced her new solo album, Something I Couldn’t Say. She also co-wrote and sang the theme tune ‘Have a Cuppa Tea’ for the national podcast series Seeing Our History. Sarah and her seven-piece band are currently gigging, performing songs from her new album of beautifully crafted indie-pop, "Something I Couldn't Say...". Singing songs of life experience from the point of view of one infectiously upbeat woman, Sarah and the band are now out of the studio and delivering with such oomph, the gigs are igniting spontaneous human cavorting, and spreading the love. https://www.facebook.com/SarahCaltieriPerformer/?pnref=story
