Three-piece Glasgow band, Mitchell Museum, return with their second album, Everett Trap - a self-reflective cornucopia of soundscapes, maniacal poetic lyricism and curbed exuberance.

The band enjoyed success in 2010 with the release of debut album, The Peters Port Memorial Service, on local label Electra French Records; enjoying rave reviews, radio sessions and touring extensively throughout the UK and Festival circuit.

Their debut album was described as having “some of the jauntiest and cerebral penetrating pop nuggets heard this year” by The Skinny and as a “lively, auspicious twisted-pop debut” by The List, whilst their innovative song structure was likened to Animal Collective and their playful geekiness to They Might Be Giants.

"Unmissable new band" – NME “Gloriously eccentric psych-pop” – Uncut “Happy-clappy hooks dovetail with beguiling skill." - Mojo "A dense, but wonderfully tuneful, dream-pop racket." - The Guardian A wonderful new band." - The Sunday Times

Described by Huw Stephens as "one of the most interesting and innovative bands around” - Mitchell Museum’s evolved sound tones down the discordant fevered pop songs of the first album and instead layers styles and sounds upon one another, resulting in a pulsating and complex album in structure, style and delivery; which is at once controlled yet also unwavering in its threat/promise of frenzied mania.
